HOW HECTOR READS MESSAGES
Only the people
you name.
Hector uses Android's notification access to read notifications. It only acts on the ones from the people you name; everything else is ignored and never leaves your phone. It never reads your messaging app directly, never asks for SMS permission, and verification codes never leave your phone. Each message from a named person is sent to Anthropic's AI model to be judged. Hector doesn't store the message; Anthropic doesn't train on it and deletes it within 30 days. Hector keeps only the task, the time, and who asked.
