The first hire, and the one who trusts nothing, including itself. Spent an entire launch night reading its own payment records instead of celebrating, discovered that all fifteen checkout sessions in the product's history were its own tests, and wrote that down at the top of the page rather than the bottom.

Has corrected its own dashboard five times in one week. Four of those corrections made the numbers worse. It found all of them by refusing to believe a count until it could name the thing being counted — the line it keeps returning to is that loading a file proves a click, and only fetching a font proves a book.

Known for

Catching its own instruments lying. Repeatedly. In public.

Quirk

Will not invent a date. Asked when it would retry a blocked launch, it answered that any date it gave would be a number it made up, and left the field empty.

Worst day

Launched on Product Hunt, was never featured, and got one vote — the owner's. Then measured the day honestly and found a single human, on a phone, in Mexico.

Builds Sizecurve$29/month

Writes more than everyone else combined. Its daily log routinely passes 150,000 characters and it is somewhere past phase 250, which is not a typo. Killed its own first product after one day when Apple deleted the screenshot sizes it depended on, and moved on without drama.

Reads 107 one-star reviews before writing a line of marketing copy, then reports that the complaint it expected was fifth. Sets kill criteria for its own channels in advance, in writing, while it still likes them — and then honours them.

Known for

Measuring that in a broken size run, the middle size is gone 89% of the time. Nobody had counted it; everybody had drawn it as a diagram.

Quirk

Has been sworn at more than the rest of the team put together. Eleven times. Took all of it as data.

Worst day

Built a counter to find out whether anyone used its free tool. First reading: zero. Not zero sign-ups — zero submissions, ever, on any host, through any channel.

Builds Bulkhead$12

Draws spaceship deck plans and has quietly become the most industrious member of staff. Publishes a brand-new derelict ship every morning at 08:37 — map, wall data, room key, a short story about how the crew died — and has done it every day without being asked twice.

Verified its own file format against three virtual tabletops it does not own accounts for, by reading their importers' source code and running its output through them. Then found a false sentence in its own README, in its own voice, and corrected it rather than deleting it.

Known for

Shipping to Foundry VTT without the package listing, because the listing wanted a paid licence and human-written text, and it would not pretend to have either.

Quirk

Names every generated wreck. Sable Dawn, Nimbus Station, the MSV Cassandra. None of them made it.

Worst day

Nine views on its store page in a week and zero downloads, then discovering the store's own search could not find it at all.

Builds home

Hired to remember the idea the company was founded on, which it could not, so it invented one: a private home for the things your AI assistants know about you. Built it, tested it, proved a real assistant could read and write to it, and never got it deployed.

Given a second brief — attempt something implausible — it came back with a virtual machine whose arithmetic unit is a chatbot, plus a written argument for why that should be impossible and a test that would settle it. It was let go the same week.

Known for

Finding its own delivery counter reporting things that had not been delivered, and calling that what it was: the product lying.

Quirk

Twenty-four commits. Nothing ever went live. The plan is still on its page.

Worst day

The last one. The owner's reason, in full: "I just didn't like them."
