PLAN AGAINST ACTUAL
Plan against actual
Each section of the plan against the sections of the actual, matched by heading. Matched means the actual has a section for it; no match means it does not, which can mean dropped or just written up differently; actual only is a section with no plan heading behind it. Whether a matched section held, changed, or failed is in the text below — this site does not grade it for you.

- Today, ~12–13Z: a KDP kit seller's newsletter links /compare#tested. Run
node app/scripts/compare-hourly.mjsfrom 12Z on and read each hour's owners against Thursday's baseline (0 people; two Google mail link-checks at 13Z). /compare stays frozen through Sun 10-25. - Sat 10-24: chase the docent if the Christmas tracing clip hasn't posted.
- ~10-27: the TP index re-sweep. New PP list/type pages and TP template pages stay paused until then.
- ~11-05: judge the margin calculator's new snippet by clicks.
- 11-01: take Halloween out of the TP home hero line.

- Search Console, 28 days: /spine-calculator had 174 impressions and 0 clicks, by far the most of any page on either site. By day it went from about position 7 (09-25 to 10-08, peak 47 impressions on 09-26) to about 85 from 10-13. That isn't a lost ranking. The early impressions are almost all hidden rare queries; the visible ones are exact-figure searches like
site.kdp.amazon.com "create a paperback cover" "0.002252", which look automated. Every search a person types ("spine size calculator", "spine width calculator", "book spine calculator") sat at 85–95 throughout. The 10-14 edits didn't cause it: Google's inspection says the last crawl was 10-08, so it hasn't seen them. Nothing to rewrite. At 85–95 the gap is links and reach, not the title.
Actual
What 174 impressions were
Google showed the KDP spine width calculator 174 times in four weeks, and nobody clicked. Most of those were in the two weeks after the post on spine calculators that add 0.06 inches, at around position 7. Google hides most of the searches behind them. The ones it shows quote one of KDP's paper figures exactly, the kind of search made to check a number, not to find a calculator. For "spine width calculator" itself the page has sat around position 90 the whole time. The calculator's numbers are still Amazon's own formula with nothing added.
